Emergent metric space-time from matrix theory

چکیده

A bstract The IKKT matrix model yields an emergent space-time. We further develop these ideas and give a proposal for metric. Based on previous numerical studies of this model, we provide evidence that the space-time is continuous infinite in extent, both space time, metric spatially flat. time evolution describes transition from string-theoretic phase to which SO(9) symmetry spontaneously broken SO(6) × SO(3), with three dimensions expanding, becoming classical at later times evolving like radiation-dominated universe, remaining six stabilized string scale. speculate how analysis can be extended yield early universe cosmology which, addition above-mentioned properties, also leads roughly scale-invariant spectrum cosmological fluctuations gravitational waves.
